DMS API
REST API with API key authentication, scoped permissions, rate limiting, and webhook notifications.
API key management with generated keys, scope permissions (Read/Write/Delete), and rate limits
Key Features
API Key Authentication
Generate secure API keys for external system integration. Each key has its own permissions and rate limits.
Scoped Permissions
Control what each API key can do: Read, Write, and/or Delete. Principle of least privilege for security.
Rate Limiting
Set per-key rate limits to prevent abuse. Configurable limits per key for different integration needs.
Webhook Notifications
Configure webhooks to receive real-time notifications when documents are created, updated, or deleted.
Configuration
- Install DMS API from the Odoo Apps menu
- Navigate to Documents > Configuration > API Keys
- Create API keys with appropriate scope permissions
- Set rate limits per key based on integration requirements
- Configure webhooks for real-time event notifications
