Overview
This module integrates the GLS ShipIT-Farm API with Odoo delivery carriers. It supports creating shipments over REST, printing labels in PDF, PNG or ZEBRA format, tracking packages through the central GLS tracking portal, and generating return labels directly from the delivery order. National, cross-border and international destinations are all supported.
The integration works for GLS accounts whose shipper contact is served by GLS ShipIT. GLS Spain (ASMRed), Central and Eastern Europe (MyGLS), Italy and the Netherlands run different shipping APIs and are not covered.
ShipIT-Farm is the OAuth2 generation of the GLS API published on the GLS developer portal. It is the successor of the GLS Web API, which GLS retires at the end of 2026.
Flexible Configuration
The carrier supports the GLS product groups Parcel and Express, and GLS selects the concrete product from the weight and the addresses. Label output can be configured as PDF, PNG or ZEBRA to match your printing setup. Credentials are stored per shipping method and are only visible to system administrators.
Shipment Creation
Assign the GLS shipping method to a delivery order. When the order is validated, the module requests an OAuth2 token from the GLS authentication API, sends the shipment to the ShipIT-Farm API and stores the returned track IDs on the delivery order. Labels are attached to the chatter and every parcel receives a direct link to the GLS tracking page.
Optional services such as the GLS FlexDeliveryService can be enabled per carrier. Return labels are booked as a GLS ShopReturn service, so the parcel is picked up at the delivery address and returned to your GLS contact.
Customs Declarations
Shipments that leave the customs union, for example from Austria to Switzerland or between two countries that are both outside the union, automatically carry the incoterm code configured on the carrier, which GLS requires for these destinations. Shipments between two member states of the customs union, and domestic shipments, never carry an incoterm. GLS only accepts the incoterms that are enabled for your contact, so the code is agreed with GLS once and then configured on the shipping method.
Getting Access
GLS grants access to the ShipIT-Farm API in three steps. Contact your GLS sales representative and state that you want to use the GLS ShipIT-Farm API. Register on the GLS developer portal, create an app and enable both the Authentication API v2 and the ShipIT-Farm API v1, which issues your client ID and client secret. Finally send your GLS contact person the team email address and the generated App ID, so that GLS authorizes the app and issues your contact ID.
Enter the client ID, the client secret and the contact ID on the GLS Configuration tab of the shipping method. Use the test environment toggle to switch between the GLS sandbox and the production servers.

MuK Delivery GLS

The module targets GLS accounts whose shipper contact is served by GLS ShipIT. Some GLS countries run a different shipping API and are therefore not covered: Spain (ASMRed), Central and Eastern Europe (MyGLS), Italy and the Netherlands.
Installation
To install this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Afterward, log on to your Odoo server and go to the Apps menu. Trigger the debug mode and update the list by clicking on the "Update Apps List" link. Now install the module by clicking on the install button.
Upgrade
To upgrade this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Restart the server and log on to your Odoo server. Select the Apps menu and upgrade the module by clicking on the upgrade button.
Configuration
Create a new shipping method with the provider GLS and enter the client ID, client secret and contact ID provided by GLS on the GLS Configuration tab. Select the product group, label format and additional services.
Usage
Assign the shipping method to a delivery order. When the order is validated the shipping label is created automatically and the tracking number is written to the delivery order.
