MuK Web Search
Adds a global search to the web client

Overview
This module adds a global search function to the interface. The search function can be accessed either in the system tray or by using a keyboard shortcut. The configuration settings can be adjusted for each existing model. There are various ways to customize the search for the specific model.
Gobal Search
When the search is opened, either via the shortcut or the systray icon, you can start typing directly. The search is then automatically performed across all configurations and the results are displayed. If there are more results than specified in the configuration limit, an option to search further will appear. Selecting this option opens a search dialog for the corresponding model. A kanban view will be opened on the mobile, otherwise the list view will be opened.
Configuration
In addition to the model, you can specify how many records to display. A good value is between 3 and 7 records, otherwise the list will be too long and you will have to scroll frequently. You can also choose whether you want to perform a classic search or a name search. For a classic search, you will also need to specify a domain. In addition to the settings for the search itself, you can also set the corresponding views. These are not mandatory fields, but allow you to influence, for example, which form view is opened.

MuK Web Search

Installation
To install this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Afterward, log on to your Odoo server and go to the Apps menu. Trigger the debug mode and update the list by clicking on the "Update Apps List" link. Now install the module by clicking on the install button.
Upgrade
To upgrade this module, you need to:
Download the module and add it to your Odoo addons folder. Restart the server and log on to your Odoo server. Select the Apps menu and upgrade the module by clicking on the upgrade button.
Configuration
To configure this module, you need to:
- Activate the debug mode and o to Settings -> Technical -> Global Search.
- Create a new configuration by clicking on the New button.
- Select a model to add a new search configuration to the global search.
Usage
Start a new search by clicking on the icon in the systray or using the shortcut ALT + F. Now just enter a search query in the input field.
