Disappointed

The module will put all the stored barcodes (those were defined before by variants ) into 1 variant.

For example:

Main Product: Bottled Water

Variants:

- Bottled Water ( 100ml ): Barcode: 123

- Bottled Water ( 200ml ): Barcode: 124

Supplier will have new size 300ml with barcode 325, I'm going to add new variant to the existing ones.

This is what happens:

- Bottled Water ( 100ml ): Barcode: 123, 124, 325

- Bottled Water ( 200ml ): Barcode:

- Bottled Water ( 300ml ): Barcode:

All the barcodes went to the 100ml variant, upon Scanning barcode 124 or 325 will bring the product Bottled Water ( 100ml ).

Same case happens, if I add a new Attribute with new values, for example

- Type(new attribute): Mineral, Carbonated (new values)

All the previously stored barcodes will show up at only 1 variant, like with the previously wrote example.

I wasted so many times, energy and effort on this.

Do you have a solution for this? Or anyone?

Hello, a small mistake

I am using https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/17.0/multi_barcode_for_products  so I unified the barcodes base so I don't have duplicates, the only thing that reads the multibarcode in debug mode not with the native search engine.

In Odoo, the ability to scan multiple barcodes in debug mode without relying on the native search engine is not a bug, but an intended feature of the system.

This functionality allows users to input multiple barcode values for a single product.

Please note that custom modules with Python or JS files cannot be imported directly via the Odoo Apps interface, which only supports modules with XML files.

If you're on Odoo Online, custom module installation is not supported.

If you’re using Odoo on-premise, you can manually add the module to your 'custom_addons' folder. After that, make sure to update the 'custom_addons' path in your Odoo config file. For detailed steps, you can refer to this guide: How to Install a Custom Module in Odoo 16.
