Installation
- Copy the odnt_password_shield folder into your Odoo custom addons directory.
- Restart the Odoo server.
- Activate Developer Mode (Settings → General → Developer Tools).
- Go to Apps, search for "Password Shield Pro", and click Install.
- Navigate to Password Shield Pro → Configuration → Security Policy to configure.
Configuration
After installation, open Password Shield Pro → Configuration → Security Policy and:
- Enable/disable Password History and set the count (e.g., 5 blocks last 5 passwords).
- Enable Password Expiry and set the number of days (e.g., 90).
- Enable Expiry Reminders and set the warning window (e.g., 7 days before).
- Enable Strength Requirements and choose a preset or configure custom rules.
- Enable Audit Log to track all password events.
To force users to change passwords: Tools → Force Password Change.
