Installation & Usage

  • Copy the module to your Odoo custom addons directory
  • Restart the Odoo server and activate Developer Mode
  • Install the module from the Apps menu
  • Open any Invoice or Bill to see the amount in words in both currencies
  • Print the PDF to confirm the amount in words appears correctly

Installation

  1. Place the module in your Odoo 17 custom addons directory.
  2. Restart your Odoo server.
  3. Activate Developer Mode from Settings > Activate the Developer Mode.
  4. Navigate to Apps, click Update Apps List, and install Amount in Words for Invoices & Bills with Multi-Currency Support.

Configuration

  1. Go to Settings > Companies > Your Company.
  2. Under the “Accounting” tab, enable: - Show Amount in Words on Invoice - Show Amount in Words in Company Currency
  3. Save your settings. The feature will now apply to all invoices and bills.

Usage

  1. Open Invoicing > Customers > Invoices or Vendors > Bills.
  2. Create or open an invoice or vendor bill.
  3. The Amount in Words will display below the total amount.
  4. Click Print > Invoice / Bill to see the amount in words on the PDF report.
  5. The system automatically detects currencies and formats words accordingly.
