eWay Payment Processing

Secure Transparent Redirect: Seamlessly redirect customers to the hosted eWAY payment portal using the AccessCodesShared API. Card details are entered directly on eWAY's secure servers and never touch Odoo.

Auto-Synchronization: eWAY redirects back to Odoo after payment, where the transaction status is fetched and updated automatically via the AccessCode endpoint.

The module securely redirects customers to the eWAY payment portal for one-time payment processing using Transparent Redirect. Payment statuses are automatically synchronized with Odoo through return URLs, enabling seamless order confirmation, payment tracking, and refund management. Card details are sent directly to eWAY and never stored on Odoo.

Can I initiate refunds from Odoo directly?

Yes! With refund support enabled, merchants can issue full and partial refunds directly on the Odoo Payment form. An API call will hit the eWAY refund API using the stored payment transaction ID, and Odoo will create a corresponding negative amount refund transaction linked to the original sale order.

Does this module support multi-website installations?

Absolutely. You can publish and customize the eWAY provider independently on different Odoo websites in a multi-website setup.

Which currencies are supported?

eWAY primarily supports AUD. You can configure additional supported currencies through the payment provider settings based on your eWAY merchant account configuration.

Are custom notifications supported?

Yes, you can customize redirect messages and state-specific instructions (Success, Pending, Cancel, Error) directly inside the Odoo payment provider settings.

What authentication method does the module use for eWAY API?

The module uses HTTP Basic Authentication with your eWAY API Key and Password for all API communications, including AccessCode creation and status checks.
