POS Multi Barcode
POS Logo & Screen Saver provides businesses with greater control over the visual identity of their Point of Sale system. Instead of displaying the default Odoo logo, organizations can use their own company branding by uploading custom logos or choosing to hide the logo completely. In addition, the module introduces a screen saver feature that automatically displays a configured image whenever the POS remains inactive for a defined period. Businesses can use this functionality to showcase their brand, display promotional content, advertise products, or present important customer information while the POS is idle. The module integrates seamlessly into Odoo POS and offers an easy way to improve the overall look and feel of the checkout environment.
Key Features
Multiple Barcode Management
The module allows businesses to assign and manage unlimited alternate barcodes for each product variant. Multiple barcode types including Standard, Packaging, Supplier, Alternative, and Internal barcodes can be configured while maintaining a single product master. Each barcode record supports activation status, sequence management, and internal notes, providing greater flexibility for product identification.
Unique Barcode Validation
To ensure data consistency, the application enforces barcode uniqueness throughout the system. Duplicate barcode assignments are automatically prevented, reducing scanning errors and ensuring every barcode references only one product.
Fast Barcode Scanning in POS
Users can scan any configured barcode directly within the Point of Sale to instantly identify and add the corresponding product to the cart. This eliminates the need to manually browse product categories or perform product searches, significantly improving checkout speed.
Offline and Online Barcode Lookup
Barcode mappings are automatically loaded when the POS session starts, allowing barcode scanning even when operating offline. If a scanned product is not available within the current POS session, the module performs an online lookup to retrieve the correct product, ensuring uninterrupted sales operations.
Intelligent Quantity Update
When different configured barcodes belonging to the same product are scanned repeatedly, the system automatically updates the quantity of the existing order line instead of creating duplicate lines. This keeps the shopping cart clean and improves billing efficiency.
Packaging Quantity Support
Packaging barcodes can be configured with predefined POS quantities. When a packaging barcode is scanned, the system automatically adds the configured quantity to the cart, making it easy to sell products in packs, boxes, cartons, or other packaging units without manual quantity adjustments.
Unknown Barcode Detection
If an unrecognized barcode is scanned, the module displays a dedicated Unknown Barcode popup instead of a simple notification. This immediately informs the cashier that the barcode is not configured and helps prevent incorrect product entries during checkout.
