Control what each cashier can do in POS

Configure access rights on the employee form with simple checkboxes. Disable payment, discount, refund, customer selection, cash in/out, close register, backend access and more — individually for every cashier. Rights update automatically when the active cashier changes.

How to Use — Step by Step

POS Access Rights by Cashier

Give every cashier only the POS features they need. Enable or disable specific Point of Sale actions per employee from a single POS Access Rights tab on their Employee record. — No code, no security groups, just a checkbox for each permission.

Tick a permission to disable that POS action for the employee. The restriction applies only while that employee is the active cashier in the Point of Sale.

1. Order & Payment Controls

Configure cashier permissions for order handling and payment actions. Enable a restriction to hide that action from the employee's POS screen.

1 - Disable Payment Button

Prevent selected cashiers from opening the Payment screen, ensuring they cannot complete sales independently.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Payment Button under Order & Payment in the employee's POS Access Rights tab.
  • Result: The Payment button is hidden from the POS order screen.

2 - Disable Customer Selection

Prevent selected cashiers from selecting or changing the customer assigned to an order.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Customer Selection.
  • Result: The customer selection buttons becomes hidden in POS.

The customer selection option is hidden and cannot be modified.

2. Numpad

Control which numeric operations a cashier can perform while creating POS orders.

1 - Disable Numpad

Readonly the entire numeric keypad to prevent manual quantity, price, and discount changes.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Numpad.
  • Result: The numpad is completely Readonly/Disable from the POS screen.

2 - Disable Price Button

Allow the numpad while preventing manual price changes.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Price Button.
  • Result: The Price key is readonly/disable and product prices remain protected.

3. Control Buttons

Configure access to action buttons such as refunds, notes, pricelists, and additional order tools.

1 - Disable Action Buttons

Hide the complete action-button toolbar with a single option.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Action Buttons.
  • Result: All order action buttons are hidden.

2 - Disable Customer Note

Prevent cashiers from adding customer notes to POS orders.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Customer Note.
  • Result: The Customer Note button is removed.

4. Menu & Session

Restrict session-level operations available from the POS menu.

1 - Disable Cash In/Out

Prevent selected cashiers from recording manual cash movements.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Cash In/Out.
  • Result: The Cash In/Out option is removed from the POS menu.

Tick Disable Cash In/Out in the employee's POS Access Rights tab.

Cash In/Out Menu Items will hidden while click on Disable Cash In/Out.

2 - Disable Close Register

Prevent cashiers from closing the POS session.

  • Setup: Enable Disable Close Register.
  • Result: Only authorized users can close the POS session.

Tick Disable Close Register in the employee's POS Access Rights tab.

Close Session Menu Items will hidden while click on Disable Close Register.
