Sales Credit Limit - Backend and Portal
Sales Credit Limit – Backend & Portal is an Odoo application designed to control and monitor customer credit throughout the entire sales cycle by automatically checking the customer’s credit limit when quotations or sales orders are created, showing warnings when the order approaches the defined limit, and placing the order in an On Hold stage when the credit limit is exceeded. The system sends email notifications to the configured approval users or sales teams so they can review and approve the order, and provides a structured workflow to approve, partially approve, or refuse credit limit increase requests with clear reasons and status tracking. From the portal, customers can request an increase in their credit limit using the Increase Credit Limit option, submit the requested amount, edit details before confirmation, track request status, and view whether the request is approved or refused, creating a transparent and streamlined credit management and approval process across both backend and portal.

Our all-inclusive
Odoo – Sales Credit Limit - Backend and Portal
provides a complete credit control workflow in Odoo by allowing
businesses to configure customer credit limits, set warning amounts,
and automatically validate credit when quotations or sales orders are
created. The system displays warnings when orders approach the defined
threshold and automatically moves orders to an On Hold stage when the
credit limit is exceeded, with a dedicated menu to manage and review
held orders. Email notifications can be configured to inform approval
users or sales teams, and an approval workflow allows orders and credit
limit increase requests to be approved, partially approved, or refused
with proper reasons and status tracking. Sales users can request credit
limit increases directly from sales orders, track requested customers,
and manage credit rules based on due amount or percentage, while also
having the ability to manually place customers on hold when required.
From the customer portal, users can submit credit limit increase requests,
edit and confirm request details, track request status in real time,
view approval or refusal decisions with reasons, and review updated
credit details, delivering a complete end-to-end backend and portal
solution for effective credit management.
