Aim of the Module.
The primary aim of this module is to simplify the translation process of .po files by automating the translation of entries using the Google Translator service. It helps streamline the localization process, especially for users managing multiple translations within Odoo, and ensures that the translations are up-to-date and consistent By automating the translation process, the module minimizes the need for manual translation work, which can be labor-intensive and costly, especially if hiring professional translators Integrating translation within Odoo allows for a more streamlined workflow, reducing the time spent on switching between different tools or platforms for translation and file management.
Features
- Users can upload a .po file containing the translation keys and their corresponding text entries.
- Choose the source language of the text in the .po file and the target language for translation from a predefined list of supported languages.
- Automatically translates the entries in the .po file from the source language to the target language using Google Translator.
- Once translation is complete, users can download the translated .po file.
- A form view in Odoo to upload the .po file, select languages, and trigger the translation.
