POS Access Right

This app allows you to enable or disable POS features depending on the access rights granted to the cashiers.

Key Highlights

Disable or Enable POS features to the specific employee.

Can manage access rights for multiple cashiers.

Only administrator can control the POS features access rights for employee.

Need to enable 'Multi Employees per Session' and select employees that you want to restrict access to the POS.

Allow the Payment button on the POS screen to be disabled.

The Payment button is disabled on the POS screen.

Allow the Customer button on the POS screen to be disabled.

The Customer button is disabled on the POS screen.

Allow the Plus-Minus and Numpad button on the POS screen to be disabled.

The Plus-Minus and Numpad button is disabled on the POS screen.

Allow the Discount,Qty,Price, and Remove buttons on the POS screen to be disabled.

It has been identified that for restaurants, the app does not allow products to be sent directly to the kitchen. This issue affects the workflow, as it is crucial for the smooth operation of the service that the products ordered by customers are sent to the kitchen efficiently and without delays.

We have encountered a critical issue when using the Point of Sale Restaurant configuration in Odoo 17 Community.

When we activate the restaurant features in the POS configuration (i.e., enable "Is a Bar/Restaurant"), the POS session fails to load correctly. Instead of opening the POS interface, it displays a blank white screen.

However, when we switch back to a regular POS configuration (without the restaurant mode), the session loads and operates normally.

This issue persists consistently and only occurs when the restaurant mode is enabled. It prevents us from using the POS in restaurant environments, which is essential for our business operations.

Please advise on how to resolve or work around this issue. If this is a known bug, we would appreciate guidance on any upcoming fixes or patches.

I found a bug in a custom Odoo module designed to restrict user permissions in the Point of Sale (POS). Specifically, I restricted the payment permissions for waiters and tested it on a tablet. Initially, it works as expected, preventing the payment action. However, when I rotate the tablet to portrait mode, the view changes, and the "Payment" button becomes accessible, allowing waiters to complete the payment despite the restriction.
