POS Customer Credit Limit
Control customer credit exposure directly inside Point of Sale with clear warnings, hard blocking rules, and live balance visibility for every cashier.
This module adds customer-wise and POS-wide credit limit management to Odoo POS. It lets you configure warning and blocking thresholds, display due balances in the customer list, and prevent risky on-account orders before they are confirmed.
Seamless integration with Odoo Point of Sale and Accounting.
View DemoReliable credit control in minutes.
Configure global limits, define customer-specific thresholds, and let POS guide the cashier at checkout.
Install the module and enforce customer account rules without changing the normal sales flow.
Key Features
Global POS Credit Limits
Set default warning and blocking limits once in POS settings and apply them automatically to customers who do not have their own custom limits.
Customer-Specific Credit Rules
Override the default POS limits per customer from the partner form and manage warning and blocking thresholds independently.
Live Balance in Customer List
Show each customer’s outstanding amount directly inside POS so the cashier can quickly understand the current exposure before selecting the customer.
Warning and Blocking Dialogs
Warn cashiers when a customer approaches the credit threshold and block on-account orders when the projected balance crosses the configured limit.
Projected Credit Validation
The validation checks the customer’s existing due together with the new on-account amount, so risky POS orders are blocked before they are confirmed.
POS Settings Configuration
Enable the credit limit feature from POS settings and define the default warning and blocking thresholds that should apply across the POS.
Customer Credit Limit on Partner
Set customer-specific warning and blocking limits from the partner form whenever an individual customer needs a different rule.
Customer List Credit Visibility
The POS customer list highlights balances and thresholds so the cashier can spot normal, warning, and blocked customers at a glance.
Warning Popup at Checkout
If the projected customer account balance reaches the warning limit, POS displays a warning dialog and lets the cashier decide whether to continue.
Credit Blocking Popup
If the projected balance exceeds the blocking limit, POS prevents the order from being processed on customer account and asks the cashier to reduce items or quantities.
Payment with card and cash
Odoo default flow will run on cash and card payment

This module is designed for Odoo Community, Enterprise, and Odoo.sh deployments. It is not intended for Odoo Online (SaaS).
It adds customer credit warning and blocking controls to the POS customer selection and payment flow, using global defaults or customer-specific limits.
Yes. You can keep default limits at POS configuration level and override them per customer from the Credit Limit tab on the partner form.
In that case, the POS uses the default warning and blocking limits defined in the POS configuration as fallback values for that customer.
The order is blocked when the customer’s current due plus the new on-account amount reaches or exceeds the configured blocking limit.
