Making a Payment Using Square Credit Card
To initiate a payment using Square Credit Card, please select Credit Card as your preferred payment method and then click on the Send Payment Request button.
You will now be presented with a form to enter your credit card details. Please fill in the required fields and then click on the Validate button.
Upon successful payment and order validation, you will be redirected to the Receipt Screen and a popup will appear notifying you of the successful payment.
If your payment fails, a popup will appear notifying you of the failed payment.
Processing Payments Using Square Terminal
To start a payment transaction with Square Terminal, choose Terminal as your desired payment method, then click the Send Payment Request button. Once the payment is successful and the order is validated, you'll be redirected to the Receipt Screen.
The system will then wait for 120 seconds for the payment to be processed. If not paid within the time frame, the system will display a confirmation message if you want to process payment manually.
In case of a failed payment, a dialog box will inform you about the unsuccessful transaction.
Please note, if a customer is not selected for the order, an error message will appear indicating a Missing Customer.
Refund
To initiate a refund, please return products from POS >> Orders.
Now click on Payment. A popup window will appear. In the popup, select appropriate amount and payment method as Credit Card and click on Make Payment.
In the Payment section, you will find the Payment Transaction ID.
After installing app, you will be able to see two Square payment options Credit Card and Terminal in Point Of Sale >> Configuration >> Payment Methods menu.
Configure Credit Card and Terminal Payment methods, select the payment terminal option Credit Card and Terminal respectively.
Setup POS Square Payment
Setup square credentials in Square Settings under POS Configuration. To setup Terminal Device ID navigate to Point Of Sale >> Configuration >> Terminal Config menu.
In Terminal Config, First select Point of Sale then click on GET DEVICE CODE. You will get all details then login to your square terminal with Device Code. After login successfully you will get Terminal ID via webhook.
Now both Square Payment acquirer Credit Card and Square Terminal option will be available for payment in POS.
