POS Stock Expiry Alert
Monitor lot expiration directly inside Odoo 17 POS and prevent selling expired products during billing.
Quick Preview
POS Screens
Below screenshots show the real POS behavior: product cards display expiry badges, and lot selection clearly warns about expired lots.
Product Screen: Expiry badges appear directly on product cards, allowing the cashier to instantly identify valid, expiring, and expired products while billing.
Lot Selection: The lot selection popup shows expiration date and remaining days, guiding the cashier to choose the correct lot.
Expired Lot Warning: Expired lots are visually highlighted to prevent the cashier from selecting invalid stock.
Smart Expiration Warning: The lot dropdown displays the exact expiry date and automatically shows how many days the lot has expired (for example: “Expired 1 day ago”), helping the cashier avoid selling expired products.
Live Working Demo
This animated demo shows the complete workflow: product selection, automatic expiration detection, lot selection guidance, and prevention of billing expired stock inside the POS interface.
Why This Module?
In standard Odoo 17 POS, the cashier cannot easily view a product’s lot expiration while billing. This module displays batch and expiry information inside POS during product selection.
Expiry visible at billing time
Shows lot expiry status directly on the POS screen while selecting products — the cashier does not need to open the Inventory module.
Avoids expired batch selection
Helps the cashier choose a valid lot and prevents selling expired stock by validating lots in real time.
- Shows lot/batch expiry status directly in Odoo 17 POS
- Works during product selection and lot assignment
- No need to open the Inventory module for verification
