Steps to set up in Power BI Embedded Environment

Set up a Power BI Embedded Environment by choosing an embedding solution. To set up click here

Sign In to your Power BI account

Enter the company mail here

Complete the 3 steps

Fill the form

Start the free trial

Click the Next

Register your application and Select all access

Grant permission

After that go to azure portal and fetch the credentials Click here

Click the App registration

Click on the App created

Copy the credentials

Create the client secret value

Copy the secret value

Connect to Power BI

To connect with Power BI, navigate to Configuration --> Power BI Connector menu.

Create a new record, enter the credentials into the appropriate fields, and click the Connect button to establish the connection between Odoo and Power BI.

To import workspaces from Power BI, click the Import Workspace button.

Workspace

To create a new Workspace in Power BI, navigate to Workspace --> Workspaces menu.

When a Workspace is deleted from Odoo, will automatically delete the corresponding workspace in Power BI also.

Dataset

To create a new Dataset in Power BI, navigate to Workspaces --> Dataset

Enter the dataset name, specify the workspace it belongs to, add the corresponding tables to the dataset, and click the Publish button.

We can refresh the Dataset in Power BI from Odoo using the Refresh Dataset button.

View all the linked tables by clicking on the Tables icon.

Table

To create a new Table in Power BI, navigate to Workspaces --> Table

Choose the model to extract data, select the relevant fields from the model to push into Power BI, and assign the table to the appropriate dataset.

Turn on Merge Table to merge the current table with other tables, and proceed to the Relation page to set up relationships.

Create the relationship by defining the To Table (the destination table). Then, link the From Field (a field in the From Table) with the To Field (its corresponding field in the To Table).

To see the datas in powerbi Click here

Click on the created Workspace inorder to find related Dataset.

Create a report using the data in the dataset by choosing the chart type from the selection box and selecting the fields to display in the chart.

To view the created power bi report in Odoo navigate to Report menu.

From the Workspace choose the Report to display in Power BI

To view all the Jobs for Creating and Updating data navigate to Configuration --> Jobs

To view all the Log Messages Related to Creating and Updating data navigate to Configuration --> Log Message
