Company-Level Configuration

Enable or disable the Low Stock Notification feature at the company level from Settings → Inventory → Low Stock Notification.

User Notification Preferences

Each user can opt-in to receive low stock alerts by enabling the "Notify User" toggle in their Preferences tab, giving full control over who is notified.

Multiple Notification Modes

Choose from Global (single threshold for all products), Individual (custom threshold per product or variant), or Reorder Rules (use existing replenishment rules) to define minimum quantity thresholds.

Email Notification with PDF Report

Automatically send low stock email alerts to all opted-in users, each including a professionally formatted PDF report listing all products below threshold — with current quantity, minimum quantity, UoM, and shortage details.

OdooBot Discuss Notification

Receive low stock alerts directly in the Odoo Discuss app as OdooBot DMs, with the full product list and PDF attachment delivered to each opted-in user's inbox.

Notification Preferences

Enable or disable the Low Stock Notification feature at the user level by navigating to User → Preferences, where you can manage your notification settings as per your requirements.

Low Stock Notification Settings

Enable or disable the Low Stock Notification feature at the company level from Inventory → Configuration → Settings. You can configure options such as the notification mode, stock check type, and global minimum quantity. Use the “Check Low Stock Now” button to manually trigger stock notifications, and click Save to apply the changes..

Company Level Notification Settings

Enable Low Stock Notification from the company’s Low Stock Notification tab, where configuration values are auto-filled from global settings and can be adjusted if needed. Use “Check Low Stock Now” to manually trigger alerts, which will send a notification along with a PDF report of low stock products.

Product-Level Low Stock Configuration

Set a custom low stock minimum quantity for each product from the Inventory tab. This allows you to manage stock alerts individually, overriding the global configuration when needed.

Low Stock Email Notification

When low stock is detected, opted-in users automatically receive an email with a detailed PDF report attached — listing every product below threshold with current quantity, minimum quantity, UoM, and shortage.

Email Notification with PDF Attachment

Users can view and download the low stock report PDF from the Attachments tab in the email record. This attachment contains a detailed list of products that are below the minimum stock level for the selected company.

OdooBot Discuss Message

Each opted-in user also receives an OdooBot DM directly in Odoo Discuss — showing the list of products with low on-hand quantity and the PDF report as an attachment for quick reference.

Low Stock Report Overview

Access the low stock report from Settings → Technical → Emails → Attachments or directly from the notification email. The report provides a detailed view of products below minimum stock levels, including current quantity, minimum threshold, and shortage.
