Track Document's Access

"Is Login Required?" in Share Popup View

Configure whether a login is required when sharing a document in the popup view.

Navigate to the Documents module -> Click the Share button -> In the popup, enable the "Is Login Required?" field for controlled access.

Set up document login requirements directly from the document's detailed form view.

Open a document in the form view -> Find the "Is Login Required?" field -> Enable it to require login for accessing this specific document.

Redirect to Login Page if Login Required

If "Is Login Required?" is enabled, unauthorized users will be redirected to the login page before accessing the document.

When users click on the shared link of a document that requires login, they will automatically be redirected to the login page before they can access the document.

Track Record of Accessed Users

Log user access events and view them in the logger for complete transparency.

After a user accesses a shared document, their login and access details are automatically recorded in the logger for tracking.

Effortless Installation

Follow these steps to install and start using the Track Document's Access module.

1. Download the Module
   • Download the Track Document's Access module from the Odoo App Store.
   • Save the downloaded module file (usually a .zip) to your Odoo addons directory.
   • Log in to your Odoo system as an Administrator.
   • Navigate to the Apps module on your Odoo dashboard.
2. Install the Module
   • Once the module is uploaded, it will appear in the Apps list.
   • Click the Install button next to "Track Document's Access".
   • Odoo will install the module for you, and it will be ready to use immediately!
3. Troubleshooting
   • If the module doesn’t appear in the Apps list, ensure that developer mode is activated by navigating to Settings → Activate Developer Mode.
