Product Attribute Configuration Before creating a shoe product, users can first define the product attributes such as Size, Color, and Material. For example, shoe sizes may include values like 7, 8, 9, and 10; colors can be Red, Black, or White; and materials can range from Leather and Mesh to Synthetic. Each attribute can be assigned a value code for internal reference and a unique internal number for easier SKU tracking. The app also allows these attributes to be automatically linked to the “Auto Product SKU” configuration, enabling seamless and automated SKU generation for every variant created later.
Creating and Managing Shoe Products Once all relevant product attributes have been defined, users can proceed to create a new Shoe Product in Odoo. During this process, the product can be linked with the appropriate attributes and internal reference codes. After saving the product, the system automatically generates all possible product variants based on the selected attribute combinations. Each variant is assigned its own SKU and displays accurate stock availability, ensuring efficient inventory management and product tracking across the POS and backend systems.
POS Session Integration The app integrates seamlessly with the Odoo Point of Sale (POS) system. When the POS session is opened, users can view the real-time stock levels for each product, displayed on the top-left corner of the product card. This real-time stock visibility ensures transparency between sales and inventory, helps prevent overselling, and allows salespersons to provide customers with accurate stock information instantly.
Efficient Product Search The system features an intelligent and efficient product search functionality designed to save time during checkout. Products can be quickly located using either the product name alone or by combining the product name with the attribute code (for example, 'SneakerRED9'). This smart search mechanism significantly enhances operational speed and accuracy, particularly in high-traffic retail environments where fast service is essential.
Customer and Salesperson Management Within the POS interface, the app allows users to add new customers or select existing ones directly during the sales process. Each order can also be linked to a specific salesperson, providing a clear record of who handled each transaction. This functionality supports performance tracking, sales accountability, and simplifies post-sale follow-ups or customer service interactions.
Payment Processing The Shoe Store app supports multiple payment options, including Cash, Bank (UPI QR Code), and other custom payment methods configured in Odoo. For Bank payments, the POS payment method must include a valid UPI ID. Once a payment is initiated through the Bank option, the system automatically generates a QR code on the printed receipt, allowing customers to conveniently scan and complete payment instantly. This digital payment feature ensures a smooth and modern checkout experience for both the customer and the cashier.

Set Up

Download and install the Odoo Shoe Store: Smart POS and Inventory Management module from the Odoo App Store.

To configure product attributes, navigate to Configuration >> Attributes and create product attributes such as Size or Color. Add the corresponding values and codes, then enable Auto Product SKU in the configuration settings.

Next, go to Products >> Products and create a new product. Enter the product details, and you'll notice that the product attribute is already available with the auto product SKU configuration applied. When you save the product, the system will automatically generate the product variants.

Work Flow

Open POS Session: Navigate to Point of Sale >> Dashboard >> New Session.View stock quantity displayed on each product card.

Search and Add Product: Search for a product by name or name + attribute code. Add the product to the order line.

Add Customer and Salesperson : Create or select an existing customer. Assign a salesperson to the order if required.

Make Payment: Choose a payment method (Bank, Cash, or others). For Bank (UPI) payments, ensure a valid UPI ID is configured in the POS payment method. A QR code will appear on the receipt for easy digital payment.

Generate Invoice : Once payment is confirmed, generate the Invoice Report.

Generate Customer and Vendor Statements:To generate a Customer Statement, go to: Invoice >> Reporting >> Dynamic Customer Statement To generate a Vendor Statement, go to: Invoice >> Reporting >> Dynamic Vendor Statement
