Partial Name Search Filtering
Say goodbye to exact name matching! Enter partial partner names to instantly filter your aged receivable report. Type any part of a customer name and the system automatically displays all partners containing that text. This intuitive search functionality works just like standard Odoo search fields, making it familiar and easy to use without requiring full partner names or tedious scrolling through long lists.
Multiple Search Value Support
Filter by multiple partners simultaneously with flexible search input. Enter multiple search terms to broaden your filter criteria and view receivables across different customer groups at once. This module is compatible with both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions (Version 17.0). Integrates seamlessly with Account Reports module and enhances the standard aged receivable report functionality.
Quick Start Guide
Install the Module:
- Navigate to Apps in the Odoo main menu
- Search for "Followup Filter Partner" or "rt_account_followup_filter_partner"
- Click the "Install" button to activate the module
- The enhanced filter is automatically available in the aged receivable report after installation
Access the Aged Receivable Report:
- Navigate to Accounting → Reporting → Partner Reports → Aged Receivable
- The aged receivable report will load showing all outstanding customer balances
- Locate the filter options at the top of the report view
- The enhanced partner filter is now available alongside standard filter options
Use Partial Name Search:
- Click on the partner filter field in the report view
- Start typing any part of a customer or partner name
- The system automatically searches for all partners containing your search text
- Results update in real-time as you type
- No need to know the exact or complete partner name
- The filter matches any partners with names containing your search string
Add Multiple Search Values:
- Enter your first search term in the filter field
- To add additional search criteria, use the designated separator (typically comma or semicolon)
- Enter additional partial names to expand your filter
- The report will display all partners matching any of your search values
- This allows comprehensive filtering across multiple customer groups simultaneously
Clear or Modify Filters:
- To clear all filters, simply delete the text from the search field
- Click the clear button (X) if available to reset the filter instantly
- To modify your search, edit the text in the field and press enter
- No need to manually remove individual partners like in the default filter
- Refine your search by adding or removing search terms as needed
- The report updates immediately when you clear or modify the filter

How is this different from the default Odoo partner filter?
The default Odoo filter requires selecting specific partners from a dropdown, adding each one individually to the filter. To clear it, you must manually remove each partner. Our enhanced filter allows partial name matching (type any part of a name), supports multiple search values, and clears with a single action - much faster and more user-friendly!
Can I search for multiple partners at once?
Yes! You can enter multiple search values separated by the designated separator (typically comma or semicolon). The system will display all partners matching any of your search criteria, allowing you to analyze multiple customer groups simultaneously.
