Stock Move Origin
Complete stock movement history and analysis tool for sales and purchase operations. Get comprehensive visibility into product movements throughout your entire supply chain with aggregated stock move views, intelligent filtering, and direct access from order lines. Built on stock.move model for complete operational transparency including draft, waiting, and cancelled movements.
Features & Perks
- Direct access from Sale Order and Purchase Order lines
- Smart default filtering based on order context
- Partner-specific and delivery address filtering options
- Complete status visibility including draft and cancelled moves
Direct Access from Order Lines
Click an icon directly on Sale Order or Purchase Order lines to instantly view the complete stock movement history for that product. The system automatically applies context-aware filters: "Outgoing to Customer" for sales orders and "Incoming from Vendor" for purchase orders, providing immediate insights into product movement patterns without manual configuration.
Smart Default Filtering by Context
Intelligent context-aware filtering automatically displays relevant stock moves based on your current workflow. When accessing from Sales Orders, the system shows only customer deliveries (destination location usage = 'customer'). From Purchase Orders, it displays vendor receipts (source location usage = 'supplier'). All filters remain customizable and can be removed or adjusted to view complete movement history across all operations.
Partner-Specific Filtering Options
Gain precise control over stock movement visibility with flexible partner filtering. Choose "All" to see complete product movement history, "Partner Specific" to analyze transactions with a particular customer or vendor, or "Delivery Address Specific" to track shipments to exact locations. This granular filtering enables detailed analysis of buying patterns, vendor performance, and location-based delivery trends for strategic decision-making.
Complete Status Visibility with Stock Moves
Unlike standard move line reports, this module uses the stock.move model to provide visibility into ALL movement statuses: Draft, Waiting, Ready, Done, and Cancelled. See draft moves from unconfirmed quotations, operations waiting for prerequisites, and cancelled transactions for complete historical accuracy. This aggregated view shows one move per operation rather than splits by warehouse locations, providing clearer operational insights and comprehensive movement tracking across your entire supply chain.

FAQs
What's the difference between stock moves and stock move lines?
This module uses stock.move instead of stock.move.line, which provides several advantages: visibility into draft and cancelled moves, one aggregated move per operation (not split by locations), and the ability to see waiting and to-do statuses. Traditional move line reports only show reserved or completed moves, while our module gives you the complete operational picture.
Can I use this module in multi-warehouse or multi-company setups?
Absolutely! The module is fully compatible with multi-warehouse configurations, multi-company setups, and multi-step routes. It works seamlessly across all warehouse operations and provides consistent functionality regardless of your organizational complexity.
How should this module be configured in Odoo?
The module requires no configuration - it works out of the box! Simply install it and the stock move icons will automatically appear on your sale and purchase order lines. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to us at support@rooteam.net.
Is this module customizable?
Yes! Our module is customizable to meet your specific needs. We offer custom report formats, additional filtering options, integration with third-party systems, and custom workflows. For any customization requests, contact us at support@rooteam.net.
