Sales Commission

Overview

This application allows user to create and manage commissions for salespersons for a specific period. You can set a sales commission for a specific date internally which helps to generate sales commission for monthly, quarterly or for specific date periods. We have provided option to calculate commission based on sales order confirmation, invoice is validate and invoice is paid. User can print pdf/excel report of commission analysis line with multiple filter options.

Commission Calculation flow

Calculate Commission in 3 ways for specific period.
1) On the sales order : When quotation confirm then calculate commission
2) On the Invoice : When invoice validate then calculate commission
3) On the Payment : When invoice paid then calculate commission

Commission types in commission form view.
1)Standard Commission

In the standard commission, you just need to add the percentage of commission you want to give in the total amount.
Formula: (Total selling amount x Percentage of commission) = Standard commission.

2)Partner Based Commission

In the partner based commission, you just need to add the percentage of commission you want to give in the total selling amount. The percentage of commission counted based on the category of a partner is Affiliated(associated or connected) or Non-Affiliated(Not associated) partner.
Formula: (Total selling amount x Percentage of commission) = Partner based commission.

3)Product/ Product Category/ Margin Based Commission

Here you need to define based on field which field and what product or product category you want to define sales commission.
If you select "Product/ Product Category/ Margin Based Commission" calculation the commission will be calculated based on below factors,
1) Calculation based on the product:

a) With Fix Price: The commission will be applied to fix price that given by the user.

If user select Fix Price then must be fill Target price and Above price commission %. If product's Selling price > Target price then get commission of Above price commission %.
-> Target price : You have to choose the target price, so if the Selling price comes above the target price then you get the commission.
-> Above price commission % : You have to choose the above price in percentage to get the commission.

Formula: (Total selling amount x Above price commission %) = commission.


b) With Margin: The commission will be given based on the margin between the sale price and cost price of that product sold.

If user select With Margin then must be fill Target price %, Above margin commission % and Below margin commission %.

-> Target price % : You have to choose the target margin price, so if the price comes above the target price then you get the commission.
-> Above margin commission % : You have to choose the margin above price in percentage to get the commission.
-> Below margin commission % : You have to choose the margin below price in percentage to get the commission.

Formula as below:

Margin amount = Difference between sales price and cost price of the product. Then Margin amount convert to Margin %.
1. if Margin % > Target price %
(Margin amount x Above margin commission %) = commission.
2. if Margin % > Target price %
(Margin amount x Below margin commission %) = commission.

c) Commission Exception: You have to just give the percentage of the commission.

2) Calculation based on the product category: The commission calculated the same as the calculation based on the product.

Sales Commission 'Manager' able to create Sales Commission.

Make Sales Commission.

Manager make commission for specific time period and login company's currency auto set in commission and calculate commission based on that currency.

Commission apply on Sale Confirmation, Invoice Validate, Customer Payment.



1. Standard Commission

In Standard Commission, Standard Commission % must be required and you just need to add the 'percentage of commission' you want to give in the total amount for selected 'Sales Person' for 'specific time period'.



2. Partner Based Commission

In partner based commission you can define two different percentage of sales commission for "Affiliated" partner and "Non-Affiliated" partner. A partner can be Affiliated or Non-Affiliated not both. In Partner Based Commission, Affiliated Partner Commission % and Non Affiliated Partner Commission % must be required.


User can set Partner is Affiliated or not. Path : Customers Form -> Sales & Purchase tab



3. Product/ Product Category/ Margin Based Commission

In this commission you need to define based on which field and what product or product category you want to define sales commission. 



In this commission you need to specify on which factor you want to give sales commission like based on and with.



Based on Product with Fix Price

Based on = Product then Product field visible and with = 'Fix Price' then Target price & Above price commission % fields visible. Commission will calculate based on this configuration.



Based on Product with Margin

Based on = Product then Product field visible and with = 'Margin' then Target Margin %, Above Margin Commission % and Below Margin Commission % fields visible. Commission will calculate based on this configuration.



Based on Product Category with Commission Exception

Based on = Product Category then Product Category field visible and with = 'Commission Exception' then Commission % field visible. Commission will calculate based on this configuration.



Make Quotation and Confirm.

Confirm Quotation then make sales commission based on configuration.


Make Quotation with different Currency and Confirm.

Confirm Quotation then make sales commission based on configuration. Check the Configuration and generate commission based on commission currency.


Make Invoice and Validate.

Validate Invoice then make sales commission based on configuration.


Make Invoice and Paid.

Paid Invoice then make sales commission based on configuration.

Advance search view of Sales Commission Analysis.

User can eassy to filter and search data as per requirement.



User can create bill based on Sales Commission Analysis.

Select Sales Commission Analysis and then click on action to create bill.



Create bill popup.

User want to group by commission type then tick checkbox otherwise not and user want to set account that is assign in bill lines after that click on 'Create Bill' then bills will be create.



Created Sales Commission filter in Bill.

User can easy to track bill which are created from 'Sales Commission Analysis'.
