Report Cover Letter CL
Key Features:
- Defines "Letter Templates" which can be used in reporting part.

From the Generic Reports > Settings menu, under (sd) Configure Reports, a link to (sd) Configure Contact Letter is shown. Clicking the Contact Letter link navigates to the specific configuration view for this report type.

The Contact Generic report uses a template named Soludoo Generic which is created by default through data file and user can create multiple templates by navigating to Report Templates > Letter Templates menu. Key configurable options include: Report Name, Associated Company, Layout style (Light, Boxed, Bold, Striped), Company Logo, Paper Format (e.g., A4). Multiple tabs allow further customization: Layout, Header/Footer, Report Formatting, Cover Letter (CL)

Inside the Header/Footer tab, several options are available: Toggle Header and Footer visibility. Enable and define Custom Header and Custom Footer content. A visual preview shows how the configured header and footer will appear in the printed report. Header Example: Includes logo, address, and contact details. Footer Example: Shows company name, full address, contact info, and page numbers with alignment and style controls: Page line visibility, Page number format, Footer text color, Page number alignment (e.g., center)

Inside the (sd) Report Formatting tab, several options are available: Address Formatting, Letter Body Formatting, Letter Signature Formatting and CL Letter Checkboxes Formatting, in these all formatting user can format Font Style, Font Size, Line Height, Font Color and Font Weight.


In the "Cover Letter (CL)" tab, the user configures: Sender/Receiver addresses (show/hide, which fields to include), Select Sender, Subject Line, Salutations (show/hide), Field positioning (e.g., sender on left/right), checkboxes and letter content.


User can configure default checkboxes from "Letter Checkboxes" menu which can be accessible from Configuration > Letter Checkboxes menu.

User can configure Header from "Header" menu which can be accessible from Configuration > Header menu.

User can configure default checkboxes from "Footer" menu which can be accessible from Configuration > Footer menu.

By clicking on "(sd) Create Cover Letter (CL)" button it will redirect to draft letter form.

By selecting "(sd) CL-Report Template" user will get all the configuration made in that letter template, so every time there is no need to configure the letter again.

For checking the letter how actually is shows the content there is print letter functionality given in the module. By clicking on "(sd) Print Letter" button it will download the letter and users can check letter.


When letter is in "Draft" state the letter will automatically deleted if user does not opt in for "Prevent Delete" from the given warning and if the letter is posted and in "Post" state then letter will not be deleted automatically.

By clicking on "(sd) Post Letter" it will open dialog box of "Choose Sending Method". In this dialog box user can set "CL-Status" and "CL-Content".

User can configure CL-Status from "Letter Sent Options" menu which can be accessible from Configuration > Letter Sent Options menu.

The Letter will be printed and log not will be posted in chatter of related partner and name of the letter will change from "Draft" to related "partner name", "subject line" and "Date" on which letter is posted. After the letter is posted all the content will be converted to readonly.


There is a smart button called "Letters" in which user can see all letters and by clicking on it user can access letters.
