Company Internal Announcement Banner
Publish dismissible company-wide announcements in Odoo
Internal Announcement Banner lets administrators publish short messages that appear at the top of the Odoo backend. Employees can dismiss announcements after reading them, while administrators can schedule, target by company, and choose the message style.

Dismissible Banner per User
Each employee can dismiss an announcement independently. Once dismissed, it will not appear again for that user, even after refreshing or logging back in.
Four Message Levels
Choose from Information, Good News, Attention, or Critical to match the urgency of your message. Each level displays with a distinct color so employees immediately understand the tone.
Schedule by Date and Time
Set a start and end datetime for each announcement. Banners appear and disappear automatically without any manual intervention.
Target Specific Companies
In multi-company environments, publish announcements to all companies or restrict visibility to selected ones only.
Rich Text Message Support
Write announcements using the built-in HTML editor. Add bold text, links, or bullet points to make your message clear and readable.
Publish and Unpublish Instantly
Toggle announcements between Draft and Published state at any time. Unpublished announcements are never shown to employees.
Who can create and publish announcements?
Only users with administrator access can create, edit, publish, or unpublish announcements. Regular employees can only view and dismiss them.
Will a dismissed announcement come back after I log out?
No. Dismissals are saved per user in the database. Once you dismiss an announcement it will not appear again even after logging out and back in.
Can I show an announcement to only one company?
Yes. In the Companies field, select the specific companies you want to target. Leave it empty to show the announcement to all companies.
What happens when the end date passes?
The announcement stops showing automatically once the end datetime is reached. You do not need to manually unpublish it.
Can I have multiple announcements active at the same time?
Yes. All active announcements within their scheduled date range will be shown stacked at the top of the Odoo backend.
