The Customer Code module automatically assigns unique identification codes to customers and suppliers, streamlining management processes and enhancing system efficiency without manual intervention.
Key Features
Odoo automatically generates a unique sequence code for each new partner added to the system.
Partners can be easily searched and filtered based on their sequence codes, facilitating quick access to relevant partner information.
Screenshots
After installation, users access the "customer.code" model in settings >technical >sequences to configure prefix, sequence size and step parameters, dictating the generation process for customer codes upon creation.
Upon creating a new customer, the code is automatically generated upon clicking the save button, adhering to the pre-configured settings established by the user.
Users have the capabiltiy to search for customers using their assigned codes, enabling quick and efficient access to specific customer information within the system.
Additionally, Users can create customers directly within the POS module, where customer codes are automatically generated.
Users can further streamline customer search processes by utilizing the generated codes within both the Point of Sale (POS) and Sales modules, accessible via Point of Sale > Orders > Customers and Sales > Orders > Customers, enhancing efficiency and accessibility across platforms.
Similar to the customer code configuration, users can set prefix, sequence size and step for the supplier code model accessible in settings >technical> sequences. Upon creating a new vendor, the code is automatically generated according to this setup.
However, codes intended for vendors cannot be used to filter customers, and vice versa, maintaining data separation and integrity.
