Stock Picking Back Date

Description

This module allow to back date the processing date of the Stock Move,  Stock Move Line, Accounting Date and Stock valuation layer date based on the Picking and Inventory Adjustment Validation.  

Configuration

After installing the Stock Picking Backdating application, the feature will be enabled.

Functionality

1. Stock picking back date features in the Transfers

Go to Settings - - > Users & Companies - - > Users.

A group called “Backdating Manager” is added under the Access Rights Tab for the user.

When the “Backdating Manager” boolean is enabled, the users of this group can edit the Effective date of Stock Picking.

i. In the Stock Picking, disable the “Today is the effective date” boolean to change the effective date.

Validate the Delivery Order with the Back Date.

Now the Stock move line, Accounting and Stock valuation layer uses the same Effective date.

ii. In Inventory Adjustment:

Go to the Inventory –>  Inventory Adjustment there we have the “Backdating stock” boolean. When the boolean is selected then the stock valuation and stock move uses the Accounting date on the Inventory adjustment line.

The Journal entry and the stock move use the back date as shown below

If the “Backdating Manager” boolean is disabled

i. In Stock Picking we cannot access the “Today effective date” boolean default set as ‘True’, then we cannot change the “Effective Date” which will be invisible.

ii. In Inventory Adjustment

If the ‘Backdating Manager’ is False then the ‘Backdating stock’ field is invisible, so we can not make Inventory Adjustment for the backdate.
