TDS POS Pinned Customers
Your cashier's favorite customers, always one tap away
Pin the customers each Point of Sale uses every day β walk-in customer, delivery apps, staff discount, corporate accounts β as a horizontal strip of chips at the top of the customer list. No more searching or scrolling through thousands of contacts during rush hour.
π One tap, no typing
Pinned customers show as large, touch-friendly chips above the customer table. A single tap selects the customer and returns to the order β perfect for busy counters and tablet POS.
π’ Different pins per POS
Each Point of Sale (shop, branch, floor) gets its own list of pinned customers, configured in the standard POS settings page. Multi-branch chains pin what each branch actually needs.
π Scrolls, sticks, just works
Pin as many customers as you like β the strip scrolls horizontally and stays visible while the cashier scrolls the full list. Pinned customers are always loaded into the session, even outside Odoo's limited partner loading.
Tutorial β set up in 30 seconds
Step 1 β Install the module
Install TDS POS Pinned Customers from the Apps menu. No configuration wizard, no dependencies beyond the standard Point of Sale app.
Step 2 β Pick the customers to pin
Go to Point of Sale β Configuration β Settings, select the POS you want to configure, and fill the new Pinned Customers field in the PoS Interface section. Repeat for every POS β each one keeps its own list.
Step 3 β Sell faster
Open a POS session and press Customer. Your pinned customers appear as a golden strip of chips right under the search bar. One tap selects the customer and closes the dialog. If you pin many customers, swipe the strip horizontally β it stays visible while scrolling the full list.
Tips
- Changed the pins while a session is open? Close and reopen the session (or refresh the POS) to reload them.
- The currently selected customer's chip is highlighted, so the cashier always knows who is on the order.
- Chips show the phone number next to the name when the screen is wide enough.
