What it does
This module integrates SeaRoutes Ocean Routing APIs into the unified routing framework provided by to_geo_routes. It enables Odoo/Viindoo to compute realistic maritime routes, distances, and travel durations between ports and coastal locations.
The module introduces a dedicated transport provider for the water mode, making ocean routing fully compatible with any feature that depends on transport.mode.provider. When combined with inland routing providers such as Google, Mapbox, HERE, or Vietmap, it allows businesses to build multimodal, door-to-door route plans where ocean segments are handled by SeaRoutes.
This integration is especially helpful for freight forwarders, shipping companies, NVOCCs, and logistics operators needing accurate sea-leg calculations for quotations, planning, and optimization.
