By default in Odoo, after validating a stock picking without creating a backorder, Odoo does not update the quantity on the Sales Order line or the Purchase Order line.
With this app, after validating the stock picking and selecting "No Backorder", Odoo will automatically update the quantity on the Sales Order line or Purchase Order line to match the delivered quantity or received quantity.
1. Automatically update the quantity on the sale order line.
For example, you have a Sales Order like this:

In the stock picking, you deliver less than the quantity ordered by the customer.

When validating the stock picking, Odoo shows a popup asking you to confirm whether to create a backorder or choose No Backorder.

If you select "No Backorder" and the "Update Quantity If No Backorder" option is enabled,
Odoo will automatically update the quantity order on the sales order line to match the delivered quantity.

Show a log in the Sales Order chatter.
2. Automatically update the quantity on the purchase order line.
It works similarly to the Sales Order. Odoo will automatically update the quantity on the Purchase Order line to match the received quantity if "No Backorder" is selected. A log will also be recorded in the Purchase Order chatter.
