What it does
This add-on introduces a Code field for HR Roles and auto-fills it from the role name with a stable normalization: - Strip accents (or drop non-ASCII if unaccent is unavailable), - Replace non-alphanumeric with _, - Collapse repeated underscores, trim, and uppercase, - Guarantee uniqueness per company with a numeric suffix (_2, _3, ...).
It is translation-safe (names are JSONB). The code prefers en_US translation, falls back to any available translation, then to the raw name.
Why this is useful
- Stable identifiers for integrations, reporting, and approvals
- Human-friendly and predictable codes generated from business names
- Company-level uniqueness for multi-company environments
Key Features
- New code (Char) on hr.role, computed & precomputed from the role name
- Normalization pipeline (accents → ASCII-ish, non-alnum → _, uppercase)
- Unique per company enforced by SQL constraint
- Pre-init data fill: populate codes for existing roles (fast SQL, JSONB-aware)
- UI: show Code at the top of role form
