What it does

This module extends viin_tracking_location with map rendering and route-aware behavior powered by to_geo_routes.

Key features

  1. Map field and action
    • Add tracking_location_map_html and action_refresh_tracking_map on models inheriting tracking.location.mixin.
    • Keep map UI out of the core module so map features stay optional.
  2. Shared map assets for backend and portal
    • Provide Leaflet/Owl map assets for backend views and portal templates.
    • Provide one reusable portal map template for tracked business records.
  3. Route-aware rendering
    • Enable planned segment route polyline usage (route_id.polyline).
    • Refresh route directions before map recompute and merge polyline fragments through geo.direction.

When to install

  • Install this module when business users need journey map visualization.
  • The module is auto-installed when both viin_tracking_location and to_geo_routes are present.
