Stripe Payment Gateway Workflow

  • Enable Stripe as a payment provider in Odoo.
  • Enter the required credentials and publish.

  • Customer selects Stripe Payment Method during checkout.
  • Clicks Pay Now -> redirected to Stripe’s secure portal.

Stripe Payment Providers

On the Payment Providers page, select the Stripe payment provider to enable it for transaction processing.

Enter The Credentials

Select the Stripe payment provider to enable it for processing transactions. Once Stripe is enabled, enter the required credentials.

Stripe as a Payment Method

To proceed with online transactions, you need to enable the Stripe payment option in the payment method settings. This allows customers to make Stripe payments during the checkout process.

After selecting the products during the checkout process, proceed to the payment section and select the Stripe payment method to process your online transaction.

Once you select the payment option, enter the card details. Provide the card number, expiration date, and CVC code as required. Verify that all information is accurate before proceeding to finalize the payment.

The payment confirmation is displayed, indicating that the transaction has been successfully processed.

View the complete payment transaction details. Also, click on the payment ID to view payment details and initiate a refund.

Stripe Refund Process

On the payment page, you can view details of the order process using the Strip payment option. To initiate a refund, click the refund button corresponding to the amount you wish to refund.

Refund Wizard

Open the refund wizard by clicking the refund button. The amount auto-fills, allowing admins to adjust it before confirming the refund.

Select the preferred payment method in the invoicing backend order.

Click the Settings icon, then choose "Generate a Payment Link" to create a secure payment URL for customers.

Click the "Copy" button to save the payment link to your clipboard. You can then share it with customers or use it for transactions.

Use Payment Link

The admin shares the copied link with the customer. The customer opens the link, chooses Stripe as the payment method, and clicks "Pay" to complete the transaction.

Navigate to the configuration settings and select "Payment Transactions" to access the transaction history. This section shows all payment and refund records with their current status for easy tracking.
