manaTec Order Withdrawal Button
Provides a webpage for a simple and legally compliant way to withdraw orders.
Legally Compliant Implementation on the Odoo Website
The module integrates a simple way for customers to withdraw order directly from the Odoo website
The button to withdraw from a contract is displayed in the top bar of all web pages, ensuring customers have access to their legally mandated right of withdrawal at any time. When clicked, it opens the prepared webpage for entering the data required to identify which order to withdraw.
Two-Step Withdrawal Process
The EU directive and its implementing laws require a clearly defined two-step process for confirmation. This module implements this completely:
- Begin Withdrawal Request: The customer opens the web page with its form and enters the required data, then clicks "Send"
- Confirm Withdrawal Request: The customer has to confirm their intention to request the withdrawal in a legally binding manner by clicking the "Confirm" button on the confirmation dialogue
Simple Integration due to Pre-Defined Form and Automatic Confirmation
The form provided from the module already contains all required fields to identify the order to withdraw:
- Name of the Customer
- Method of Communication (E-Mail Address)
- Order Reference
This information allows a quick identification of the order to withdraw and thus ensures speedy processing of the customer's request.
After the customer send the information, the withdrawal request is sent via the Odoo E-Mail functionality, ensuring compliance with the legal requirement of a durable communication medium. The customer also receives a confirmation that their request was received via e-mail.
Configuration
The module is designed to be usable and legally compliant directly after installation but also open to customer adjustments. The Withdrawal Request form, its Thank-You page and its positioning in the Website Menus can be freely adjusted via the Odoo Website Editor. The E-Mail settings for the alias used for the confirmation mail, the inbox receiving the requests and the template used for the confirmation can be adjusted separately for each website via the Odoo settings interface.
Functionality
- New Web Page with a form for requesting to withdraw an order, automatically added to the header menu
- When clicking "Send" on the withdrawal form, it opens a dialogue to explicitly confirm the request
- When the request is confirmed, it sends the form content to a company inbox and a confirmation to the customer e-mail
- The e-mail addressed used and the e-mail template for the customer confirmation can be adjusted per webpage in the settings
