Website Order Sequence
Use a custom numbering sequence for sales orders generated from your Odoo eCommerce — separate from internal sales.
Odoo 17 · Community & Enterprise · Other Proprietary
What it does
By default Odoo uses one sequence for every sales order, mixing back-office orders and orders placed through the website. This module lets you assign a separate sequence per website, so you can tell at a glance which orders came from your eCommerce.
Per-website sequence
Assign a different sequence to each website you operate.
Standard Odoo sequences
Uses Odoo's native sequence engine — full control over prefix, padding, step.
No effect on back-office orders
Internal sales keep using the default SO sequence.
Zero code
Configured entirely from the UI, no XML or Python edits needed.
How to set it up
1
Go to Apps. Search for Website Order Sequence and install.
2
Open Settings > Technical > Sequences & Identifiers > Sequences and create your new sequence. The sequence code must be unique.
3
Open Website > Configuration > Websites and select the website you want to configure.
4
In the Configuration tab, set the Personalization Sequence field to the sequence you just created.
5
Place a test order on the website and check that the new sequence is applied.
