Wibtec Amazon S3 Cloud Attachments
Overview
This app integrates Amazon S3 cloud storage with Odoo, enabling users to upload files directly to the cloud in real-time, download files from the cloud to their local system, and upload files from their local system back into Odoo. This integration prevents excessive database usage by offloading file storage to the cloud, ensuring smoother performance and quicker access to cloud-stored attachments.

Configuration
Go to settings > Users > Open User > Check the 'Allow AWS Cloud Attachments Configuration'.

Set up your Amazon S3 cloud configuration as demonstrated in the screenshot below.
After adding your S3 bucket, ensure you enter the necessary details (Access key, secret key, bucket name, region, etc.). If you want direct synchronization of attachments from Odoo to Amazon S3, enable the boolean option as shown in the screenshot.
NOTE: Here we have taken an example of adding an attachment in chatter for understanding purpose. However, the functionality of this module is not restricted to any model/view, it works for every attachment added in Odoo.
Test the functionality by uploading an image in the Calendar module's Event chatter, as seen in the screenshot.
The image will sync to the S3 storage.
To retrieve file attachments from the cloud to local storage, click the 'Release Bucket or Space' toggler. You'll see the transfer progress to the specified path.
Once the data is retrieved from the cloud, restore it to the local database as shown in the below screenshot.
You can also schedule file uploads to the cloud by configuring the scheduler in the settings based on your preferences.
