Accounting Sent State
Mark posted invoices as sent when they were delivered outside the regular mail flow.
Developed by 2BIT Digital GmbH — your Swiss Odoo partner for payroll, accounting, eCommerce, manufacturing and custom business solutions.
Overview
Accounting users can manually mark an invoice as sent and keep that status visible in Odoo.
The module uses the standard sent flag and displays posted invoices as Sent when they were marked as delivered.
Business Impact
Why You Need This Module
Not every invoice is sent through Odoo email. Some are delivered by post, portal, EDI, or another channel, but teams still need Odoo to reflect that delivery status.
A manual sent action keeps invoice follow-up aligned with real communication.
Which Problems It Solves
- Invoices delivered outside Odoo still looking unsent
- Manual tracking of sent status in notes or spreadsheets
- Unclear follow-up status for posted invoices
Key Benefits For Billing Teams
- Manual sent tracking for posted invoices
- Clearer invoice delivery status
- Better follow-up when invoices use external delivery channels
How It Works
- Open a posted invoice that was delivered outside the standard Odoo email flow.
- Click the manual sent action added by the module.
- Odoo marks the invoice as sent and displays the sent state in invoice views.
