Starting from Odoo 17, Odoo has introduced an Online Payment feature in the Point of Sale.
With this feature, customers can scan a QR code and complete their payment efficiently.
This feature has the following drawbacks:
1. If the customer is on the phone and is willing to provide their card number to the cashier, it is still very difficult for the cashier to process the payment on the POS payment screen.
2. If you have a customer display that is a tablet or iPad, you want customers to be able to enter their card details directly on the customer display to complete the payment. This is a convenient feature for customers when they are standing at the counter, allowing them to make the payment immediately without needing to scan a QR code.
With this app, both of issues can be resolved:
This app will be compatible with all the payment providers you are currently using.
1. Casiher can make the payment from QR code popup.
- The cashier can click on the "Pay now" button on the QR code popup of the POS payment screen, and a payment popup will be displayed.
The payment popup is only displayed on the cashier side, it will not appear on the customer display side.
- The cashier can easily enter the customerâs card details to process the payment while being on the phone with the customer.
- After the payment transaction is successful, the POS order will be automatically validated. The payment popup will automatically close after 2 seconds.
- If your customer display is a tablet or iPad (a touch-enabled device), your customers can make the payment directly on the customer display without needing to scan a QR code.
- If the cashier clicks the "Pay on Customer Display" button, the QR code popup on the customer display will switch to the card input screen.
- Your customers can enter their card number to complete the payment.
- After the payment transaction is successful, the POS order will be automatically validated. The payment confirmation screen on the customer display will automatically appear to inform the customer that the payment was successful, and it will automatically return to the customer displayâs Welcome screen after 2 seconds.
