Product Internal Reference Generation
Automatic Internal Reference Generation for Products
This module helps to automatically generate internal references for products in Odoo, improving product identification and inventory management. It supports references based on product name, category, and attributes.
Key Features:
- Configuration Settings: Enable internal reference generation based on product name, category, or attributes from Settings.
- Generate Internal Reference: Select products and click the 'Generate Internal Reference' button to assign references automatically.
- Initial Letters: The first two letters of the reference indicate the product type.
- New Products Support: Enable automatic internal reference generation for new products by activating the related boolean field on the product form.
Enable Configuration Settings
Navigate to Settings and enable configuration options for Product Name, Product Category, and Product Attribute based internal references.
Generate Internal Reference for Selected Products
Select products from the product list and click the 'Generate Internal Reference' button to create unique references.
Internal Reference on Product Form
Enable the Internal Reference for New Products boolean field to automatically generate references for newly created products.
Generated Internal Reference Example
The first two letters of the generated reference represent the product type, helping with easy identification.
Usage:
After installing the module, enable the desired configuration options in the settings, generate internal references for existing products using the button, and enable automatic generation for new products on the product form.
