By default, Odoo's Appointments app only lets internal users be picked in the “Users” field of an Appointment Type. This lightweight extension widens that field so portal users — consultants, freelancers, or partner-side staff — can be added too. No new fields, no new menus, nothing to configure: they simply become bookable, the exact same way internal staff already are.

How to Use
Install the app
Add "Appointments - Portal Users as Staff" from the Apps menu.
Open an Appointment Type
Go to Appointments → Configuration → Appointment Types, on a type with "Availability On: Users".
Add any user
In the "Users" field, add internal or portal users — both now appear in the list.
Save
That's it — the selected portal users are now bookable staff for this appointment type.
Good to Know
- ✓ Portal users must already have an active portal account in your database.
- ✓ This module only widens the list of selectable users — it does not grant portal users any new backend access.
- ✓ Your existing security rules, calendar sharing, and access rights continue to apply as normal.
- ✓ Applies to Appointment Types with "Availability On" set to Users.
