Smart Backward Manufacturing Simulation
Eliminate the risk of delivery delays with our advanced Backward Scheduling module. Designed for manufacturers who prioritize "Delivery First" planning, this module starts from your final shipment date and works backward through every production stage. It automatically proposes the exact start and end dates for each operation, allowing you to simulate and finalize a reliable production roadmap with ease.
Features
While standard Odoo calculates lead times forward, this module anchors your schedule to the next milestone (Delivery Orders or downstream Manufacturing Orders). By synchronizing Work Order durations, actual resource calendars, and real-time capacity load, it generates a high-fidelity simulation that reflects the true reality of your shop floor.
This module does not require any complex setup and functions immediately upon installation. As an optional setting, you can choose whether or not to apply the "Security Lead Time" (a standard Odoo configuration item) to the calculations.
Setup
Checking "Apply to Deadline" will insert the days set in the Security Lead Time as a buffer before or after the production deadline.
