Base can add shipment data to Shein orders and supports courier mapping in the advanced Shein integration settings. The Shein Shipping integration can be used for label generation and tracking where applicable.

Returns can be imported from Shein into Base and handled in the returns section. Shein currently provides limited return status data, so return mapping is mainly based on the accepted return status.

Base supports adding invoices to Shein orders. Forwarding invoices to Shein is available only for the Brazilian market. For other Shein markets, invoice forwarding to Shein is not available through the Shein API.

ARCHITECTURE

Multi-company ready

Use Odoo companies and Base accounts to separate catalogs, pricing, stock sources and market configuration. Each Shein account in Base can be mapped to the correct operational setup.

Per-company API key and mapping

• A Shein integration account in Base is assigned to one market. Listing to multiple Shein markets simultaneously from one account should not be assumed.
• Supported Shein markets in Base include US, BR, AT, DE, ES, FR, IT, NL, PL, RO, SE, UK and MX.
• Shein SKU values cannot be reused, even after an offer is deleted.
• After a Shein offer is accepted, API editing is limited. Title, description, images and parameters may need to be changed directly in the Shein panel.
• Shein listing validation can take up to 48 hours.
• Variants support a maximum of 2 sales attributes.
• Product images must meet Shein requirements: minimum 3 square images, 900×900–2200×2200 px.
• Images must be uploaded to Shein before listing and are used as Shein-hosted URLs.
• Productization is not available for Shein.
• Closing or deleting offers is not supported by the Shein API in Base.
• Order status updates to Shein are not supported.
• Shein returns provide limited status data, mainly accepted return.
• Forwarding invoices to Shein is available only for BR.
• Shein SFS / Consignment accounts have a reduced feature set and do not support the same stock, price and return synchronization as the standard Shein integration.

Install the Base Connector module in Odoo

Install from the Odoo App Store on your 18.0 instance, Community or Enterprise. Enable External API in Odoo settings and make sure the Inventory module is installed.

Generate an Odoo API key from this module

Open the Base Connector module in Odoo, generate the API key, then copy the key together with your database name and the technical user it was issued for.

Paste credentials into Base.com and connect Shein

In Base, add the Odoo API key, database name and user. Then connect your Shein seller account using the Shein API credentials or authorization method available for your account.

Configure Shein rules and go live

Choose the Shein market, listing language, category settings, user parameter download, stock source, price group, stock interval, price interval, courier mapping and order settings. Then enable synchronization.

The Odoo module by itself only issues the API key and exposes data through the Odoo External API – the rest of the integration logic, including the Shein connection, runs on Base.com infrastructure. Do I need a Base.com account to use this module?

Yes. The Odoo module on its own only generates the API key and exposes Odoo data. The Shein integration runs through Base.com, so an active Base subscription is required.

Which Shein markets are supported?

Base supports Shein markets including US, BR, AT, DE, ES, FR, IT, NL, PL, RO, SE, UK and MX. Each Shein integration account in Base is configured for a specific market.

Are Shein orders created as sales orders in Odoo?

Shein orders are imported into Base first. They can then be mirrored into Odoo as sales orders with buyer data, order lines, discounts and shipping information, depending on the connector configuration.

Is stock sync close to real time?

Base supports stock intervals including 5 min and live synchronization, depending on the Base plan and integration setup. You can also choose 1 h, 3 h, 8 h or turn stock sync off.

Can I synchronize prices?

Yes. Base supports Shein price synchronization using selected price groups, with options such as multipliers, fixed markups and rounding. Price intervals include 1 h and live, depending on the plan and setup.

Where do I configure the Shein side?

In Base.com. After connecting Odoo and Shein, you configure the Shein market, listing language, categories, user parameters, stock rules, price rules, courier mapping and order settings in the Base interface.

Does Shein support variants?

Yes, but with Shein API limits. Variants can use a maximum of 2 sales attributes, and images must be assigned correctly. Some category-specific rules may also apply.

Can I edit Shein listings after they are accepted?

Only partially through the API. After Shein accepts an offer, title, description, images and parameters may need to be changed directly in the Shein panel.

Does the connector support returns?

Yes, Shein returns can be imported into Base. However, Shein provides limited return status information, mainly the accepted return status.

Does invoice forwarding work for every Shein market?

No. Forwarding invoices to Shein is available only for the Brazilian market. For other markets, Shein invoice forwarding is not available through the integration.

Can I rotate the Odoo API key without breaking the integration?

Yes. Regenerate the key in the Base Connector module in Odoo and paste the new value into Base.com. Synchronization may pause briefly during the swap and continue from the next cycle.

Does it work with multi-company setups?

Yes. You can use Odoo companies and Base account configuration to keep catalogs, prices, stock and market settings separated. Each company can use its own API key and mapping.
