The BBTech Zoho Sign Connector provides enterprise-grade synchronization between Zoho Sign and Odoo Sign. Track signature requests across both platforms with real-time status updates, automatic signed PDF retrieval, and optional audit trail import. Uses a safe PDF-based approach for maximum compatibility.

Zoho Sign Connector Overview

A) Signature Requests Sync

Bi-directional synchronization of signature requests:

  • Zoho Requests ↔ Odoo Sign Requests: Full request sync
  • Request Details: Subject, message, expiry date
  • Document Tracking: Track document through signing process
  • Creation Date: Request creation timestamp preserved
  • Reference Number: Zoho Sign request ID tracking

Q: Does it sync signature fields between systems?
A: For v1, we use a PDF-based approach where documents are sent as PDFs to Zoho Sign. Signers place fields in Zoho. This is more reliable than trying to map complex field structures between systems.
Q: When is the signed PDF downloaded?
A: The signed PDF is automatically downloaded when the request status changes to "Completed" (all signers have signed). This happens via webhook or during the next pull sync.
Q: Can I initiate signing from Odoo?
A: Yes, use the "Send to Zoho Sign" wizard on any sign.request to send it to Zoho for signatures. The wizard lets you configure signers and message before sending.
Q: Can signed documents go to Odoo Documents?
A: Yes, if the Documents module is installed, you can configure signed PDFs to be automatically stored in a specific documents folder in addition to the sign.request attachment.
Q: What OAuth scopes are required?
A: The connector requires ZohoSign.documents.ALL and ZohoSign.account.READ scopes at minimum. Check the README for the complete list of recommended scopes.
