Set Weight Fields on Products

Go to Inventory -> Products -> Product Variants, and open a product variant form.

In the product details, locate the fields for Net Weight and Gross Weight.

Enter the Net Weight (weight without packaging) and Gross Weight (including packaging) for each product or variant.

Validation Error When Net Weight Is Greater Than Gross Weight
This error occurs when the Net Weight is entered higher than the Gross Weight in the product settings. The system shows a validation message: "Net Weight must be smaller than Gross Weight!"

User Access Rights for Net and Gross Weight Fields
Users can enable or disable the visibility of Net Weight and Gross Weight fields for a particular user through the user access settings.
By selecting the respective checkboxes, the fields will appear on the following documents for that specific user:

Net and Gross Weight on Sale Order – Displays the fields on Sales Orders.
Net and Gross Weight on Purchase Order – Displays the fields on Purchase Orders.
Net and Gross Weight on Invoicing Order – Displays the fields on Invoices/Bills.
Net and Gross Weight on Delivery/Transfers – Displays the fields on Delivery Orders.
In simple terms, administrators can control which users can view and use the Net Weight and Gross Weight fields in Sales, Purchase, Invoice, and Delivery documents.

Use Weight Information in Transactions:
When creating Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Invoices, or Delivery Orders, the system will automatically calculate the total net and gross weight based on the product quantities and weights set in the product form.

Use Weight Information in Sale Order Report:
In the Sales Order -> Other Info tab, the Weight Configuration section provides two options:

1) Display weight on report? – When this option is enabled, the Net Weight and Gross Weight fields will appear on the printed Sales Order report.
2) Display weight column subtotal? – When this option is enabled, the subtotal of the Net Weight and Gross Weight fields will appear on the printed Sales Order report.
These settings allow users to choose whether weight details and subtotals should be displayed in the Sales Order report.

Bulk Display Weight Report for Multiple Sale Orders
To enable "Bulk Display weight report," navigate to the list view of Sale Orders, select multiple sales orders, click on the "Action" menu, and choose either "Bulk Display weight report" or "Bulk Display weight Column Subtotal" based on your requirement.

This feature allows users to quickly display Net Weight and Gross Weight information on printed reports for all selected Sales Orders at once, making it easy to ensure accurate weight details are included in every chosen quotation or order.

Use Weight Information in Delivery Report:
In the Sales Order Delivery -> Other Info tab, the Weight Configuration section provides two options:

1) Display weight on report? – When this option is enabled, the Net Weight and Gross Weight fields will appear on the printed Delivery report.
2) Display weight column subtotal? – When this option is enabled, the subtotal of the Net Weight and Gross Weight fields will appear on the printed Delivery report.
These settings allow users to choose whether weight details and subtotals should be displayed in the Delivery report.

Bulk Display Weight Report for Multiple Deliveries
To enable "Bulk Display weight report," navigate to the list view of deliveries, select multiple deliveries, click on the "Action" menu, and choose either "Bulk Display weight report" or "Bulk Display weight Column Subtotal" based on your requirement.

This feature allows users to quickly display Net Weight and Gross Weight information on printed reports for all selected deliveries at once, making it easy to ensure accurate weight details are included in every chosen delivery.
