Bill Confirmation Limit

Control Who Can Post High-Value Invoices & Bills in Odoo

Community Enterprise

Overview

The Bill Confirmation Limit module enables you to set approval thresholds for users attempting to post invoices or vendor bills in Odoo. This ensures that junior staff cannot confirm bills exceeding their approval authority, enforcing financial control and supporting your organization's approval workflows.

Key Features

  • 💰 Set per-user or per-group bill confirmation limits
  • ⚠️ Blocks vendor bill posting if the amount exceeds the user's limit
  • 🔔 Displays clear error messages when limits are exceeded
  • 📊 Supports customer invoices and vendor bills
  • 🔐 Enhances financial security and accountability

Configuration Steps

  1. Install the module from the Apps menu
  2. Go to Settings → Users & Companies → Users
  3. Set the "Bill Confirmation Limit" field for each user as needed
  4. Users attempting to post invoices or bills above their limit will receive an alert
