Odoo already gives your customers a credit limit. This module extends it for selling on account: set limits per pricelist or per customer, block over-limit orders at checkout, and show credit usage in the portal.

Give your account customers the convenience of paying later, while the limit is enforced automatically at checkout.
Set it once, per pricelist
Put a credit limit on a pricelist and it applies to every customer on that tier, on top of Odoo's per-customer and company defaults. A customer's own limit still takes priority.
Enforced, not just flagged
Odoo's credit limit only warns staff in the back office; it won't stop an online order. This module shows "pay on account" methods to credit customers only, and refuses checkout when an order would push them over their limit.
Visible everywhere
A credit-usage bar in the customer portal, plus a credit-usage button on the contact and a clickable credit warning on the sales order that drills into the orders using credit.
One limit, three places to set it
Odoo already sets a credit limit per company and per customer. This module adds a third level, the pricelist, so a whole customer tier can share one limit. The most specific limit always wins.

How it works
Every feature is optional, so you turn on only what you need, per website.

Choose your features
In Website → Settings → CompactCode - Credit Limits, nominate your pay-later methods (wire transfer, direct debit), and switch over-limit blocking and the portal credit bar on or off, independently, per website.

Customers see their credit
A credit-usage bar appears in the customer portal, so buyers always know how much room they have left before reaching their limit.

Over-limit orders are blocked
When a credit customer pays with a pay-on-account method and the order would take them over their limit, checkout is refused with a clear message. That hard stop is what Odoo doesn’t do on its own.

It keeps everything Odoo's native credit limits already do, and adds the pieces selling on account needs.

Pay on account, shown only to credit customers
Credit limits only matter for pay-later methods (wire transfer, direct debit), where you actually extend credit. Instant methods like cards or Mollie are paid on the spot, so this module leaves them alone. Nominate your pay-later methods, and at checkout they appear only to customers who have a credit limit.

What counts toward the limit
Before a pay-on-account checkout goes through, the customer's full exposure is added up and compared to their limit. If it would go over, the payment is blocked.

FAQ
Do I need Odoo's credit-limit feature enabled? +
Yes. This module builds on Odoo's native credit-limit feature. Turn on Credit Limit in Accounting → Settings, and it adds pricelist-driven limits and the checkout controls on top.
Where can a credit limit be set? +
At three levels: the company default and the individual customer (both native Odoo), plus per pricelist (added by this module), so a whole customer tier shares one limit. A limit set directly on a customer always takes priority over the pricelist.
Which payment methods get restricted? +
The ones you nominate per website under Settings → CompactCode - Credit Limits, typically the "pay later" methods like wire transfer or direct debit. Immediate-payment methods are untouched.
Does it work without a website? +
The pricelist-driven limits and the back-office credit visibility work anywhere. The payment-method gating and the over-limit block apply to the website shop and portal.
Community or Enterprise? +
Both. It depends only on standard modules (Sales, eCommerce, Payment, Portal) that ship with Community and Enterprise alike.
