Frequently asked
Which documents does the header distribution widget cover?
Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Customer Invoices, Vendor Bills, Credit Notes, Debit Notes, and Stock Pickings all get the same header distribution tab with Apply to Lines and Reset Lines.
Will applying a header distribution overwrite lines I already edited by hand?
No. Lines you have manually changed are preserved when Apply to Lines runs again. Use Reset Lines whenever you want to explicitly discard overrides and re-sync to the header.
Does the rule engine require any technical setup?
No code is required. Rules are configured with dropdown conditions (product category, partner, warehouse, picking type, or operation type), a priority, and a target distribution or template — all from a standard Odoo form.
Can I keep working on a document before its analytic distribution is complete?
Yes. Drafts can be saved with an incomplete distribution at any point. The 100% requirement is only enforced when the document is confirmed, posted, or validated, and section/note lines are excluded from that check automatically.
