Turn Counter Suggestions Into Proven Revenue at the POS
Cross-sell and upsell suggestions appear automatically during Point of Sale order entry, ranked and capped so cashiers never feel overwhelmed — then acceptance-rate and revenue-uplift analytics prove exactly which pairings pay off.
Cashiers rarely remember to offer the sleeve, the warranty, or the higher-tier model in the middle of a fast-moving sale, so retailers leave attach-rate revenue on the table basket after basket. Most POS add-on apps only show a plain related-product list with no way to prove it ever worked.
Configure ranked cross-sell and upsell rules by product or category, surface them automatically inside the native POS order screen, and record every impression and acceptance — so you can see, in a pivot and a list, exactly which pairings convert and how much extra revenue they add.
Everything you need to prove upsell ROI
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Cross-Sell & Upsell Rules
Configure back-office rules that trigger on a specific product or an entire category, and mark each one as a complementary cross-sell or a higher-tier upsell — both strategies live in a single interface.
Ranked, Capped Suggestions
Order rules by sequence and set a maximum number of suggestions per POS, so cashiers see the best-match pairings instead of every related product dumped at once.
Campaign Windows & POS Scoping
Schedule a rule for a promotional start and end date, and restrict it to specific points of sale, or leave it open to every till in the company.
Acceptance & Revenue-Uplift Analytics
A pivot and list report show impressions, acceptance rate and revenue uplift per product pairing — the proof of ROI most competing apps never give you.
Multi-Location & Per-Cashier Reporting
Group suggestion performance by point of sale, cashier or customer to compare stores and coach staff on which offers they close.
Product Suggestion Smart Button
Jump straight from any product form to the suggestion rules that reference it, so merchandisers can review and adjust pairings without leaving the product page.
Per-Session Suggestions Toggle
A POS Settings switch and a configurable maximum let managers turn suggestions off on express lanes without touching a single rule.
In-POS Ranked Popup
The native optional-products popup now shows type badges and only the ranked, capped suggestions your rules define, with a friendly warning if one becomes unavailable mid-session.
Identified-Customer Targeting
Restrict a rule to orders with a known customer attached, so anonymous walk-ins only see your general suggestions.
How it works
Configure Rules
Create cross-sell or upsell rules in the back office, triggered by a product or a whole category, with an optional campaign window.
Cashier Sees Suggestions
When a cashier adds a trigger product to the cart, the ranked and capped suggestion popup opens automatically at the till.
One-Tap Add to Cart
The cashier accepts a suggestion with a single tap; if a suggested product is unavailable, the cashier is notified instead of the flow breaking.
Review the Analytics
Every impression and acceptance is recorded, so managers can open the Suggestion Performance pivot and see acceptance rate and revenue uplift by product, POS and cashier.
See it in action
Configuration, in-POS suggestions and the analytics that prove they work.
The Suggestion Rules list shows every cross-sell and upsell rule with its type badge, trigger product, campaign dates, impressions and acceptance rate.
A rule form: pick the trigger product, the ranked suggested products, the campaign window and whether it targets identified customers only, with a Times Shown stat button.
Every product form gains a POS Suggestions smart button that jumps straight to the rules referencing it.
POS Settings adds a Product Suggestions section with an enable toggle and a Max Suggestions limit.
The Suggestion Performance pivot breaks down impressions, acceptance rate and revenue uplift per product, split by cross-sell and upsell.
The Suggestion Statistics list shows every impression with cashier, customer, point of sale, accepted status and revenue uplift.
At the till, the native optional-products popup now shows ranked, badge-labelled cross-sell and upsell suggestions the moment a trigger product is added.
Frequently asked
Does this replace the native Odoo POS optional-products feature?
No. It builds on top of it. The native popup still opens, but this module adds ranking, a suggestion cap, campaign windows, per-POS scoping, and full acceptance and revenue analytics.
Can I run both cross-sell and upsell suggestions at the same time?
Yes. Each rule is tagged as either cross-sell (complementary) or upsell (higher tier), and both types can trigger together from the same product, ranked by sequence.
What happens if a suggested product becomes unavailable?
The cashier gets a warning notification instead of a broken screen, and the suggestion is simply skipped so checkout keeps moving.
How do I see whether suggestions are actually increasing sales?
Open the Suggestion Performance report. It shows impressions, acceptance rate and revenue uplift per product pairing, and you can group it by point of sale or cashier.
