Every product's stock story on one card
Opening balance, every in/out movement, running quantity & value, and a live on-hand snapshot — for as many products as you like, in one report instead of a spreadsheet reconciliation.
Odoo Inventory tracks moves and valuation, but there is no consolidated per-product ledger. Warehouse managers and finance controllers reconcile stock movements and valuation by hand across moves, valuation reports, and spreadsheets every month-end — and most third-party stock card apps only cover one product at a time, with no aging or dead-stock visibility.
Stock Card Report builds a per-product ledger straight from live stock moves: opening balance, running quantity & value on every movement, closing balance, on-hand snapshot, and aging/dead-stock flags — for one product, a category, or a whole warehouse in a single run, previewed on screen before you export to PDF or Excel.
Everything a stock card needs
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Multi-product batch selection
Pick individual products, a category, or a warehouse/location in one run instead of generating one card per product — the biggest workflow gap in comparable stock card apps.
Opening balance & date range
Set any from/to date range and every card opens with the correct starting quantity and value, so running totals are anchored to a real opening balance instead of starting from zero.
Running movement ledger
Every receipt, delivery, internal transfer, and adjustment appears as its own row, each updating a running on-hand quantity and running stock value — the true ledger behavior a stock card needs.
Live on-hand snapshot
Each product's card shows on-hand, free-to-use, reserved, incoming, and forecast quantities alongside the historical ledger, so you are not stuck reading history without today's picture.
Aging & dead-stock flagging
Every product is tagged with an aging tier (fresh, aging, stale, dead) based on days since its last movement, and flagged as dead stock past a configurable threshold — right on the same card as the ledger, not a separate report.
Operations & Finance views
Switch between an operations-framed view (quantities, movements, aging) and a finance-framed view (costing method, unit cost, opening & closing value) over the same underlying data, so the report matches who is reading it.
Costing-method-aware valuation
The value column reflects each product's configured costing method (Standard, FIFO, or Average), with unit cost and opening/closing value shown so the finance view lines up with your accounting records.
Preview, then PDF or Excel
Review the full results on screen — grouped by product, with per-group and grand-total quantity/value sums — before committing to a PDF report or an Excel export, so you never generate a file with the wrong scope.
Warehouse & location scoping
Filter the whole report by warehouse or internal location, so multi-site operations can isolate movements per site instead of wading through consolidated results.
How it works
Set your filters
Open the wizard from Inventory, choose a date range, products/categories, warehouse or location, and pick the Operations or Finance view.
Generate the card
Click Generate and the module builds the ledger, on-hand snapshot, and aging analysis for every selected product directly from live stock moves.
Review on screen
Browse the results summary, drill into a product's card, or open the full-screen ledger grouped by product with running totals.
Export & share
Print the PDF report or download the Excel workbook — both carry the same filters and generation date for an audit-ready record.
See it in action
From filter wizard to running ledger to PDF export.
The filter wizard: date range, multi-product/category/warehouse/location scope, Operations or Finance view, and a Generate button.
Operations view: opening/in/out/closing quantities plus free, reserved, incoming, forecast and aging — one row per product.
Finance view: the same results, reframed with costing method, unit cost, and opening/closing stock value for reconciliation.
Click any product to open its full stock card — snapshot, aging and cost, opening/closing balances, and the embedded ledger.
The full-screen ledger, grouped by product, with per-group and grand-total running quantity and value sums.
The printable PDF report: per-product card, running ledger, and value columns — ready to archive or share. An Excel export with the same data is one click away from the results screen.
Frequently asked
Can I run one report for many products at once?
Yes. Select individual products, a whole product category, or scope by warehouse/location — the wizard generates a stock card for every matching product in a single run, with a per-product summary and a combined ledger.
Where does the value column come from?
Directly from your product's configured costing method (Standard, FIFO, or Average) and Odoo's own stock valuation data, so the opening/closing value on the card lines up with what your Accounting app already records — no separate reconciliation report needed.
How is dead stock detected?
Each product is tagged with an aging tier based on days since its last stock move, and flagged as dead stock once it crosses a configurable day threshold (90 days by default) — visible right on the results and product card, no extra report to run.
What export formats are supported?
Both PDF (a formatted, printable report with per-product cards and the running ledger) and Excel (a downloadable workbook with the same data), generated from the same on-screen preview so you can validate scope before exporting.
