The Cleaning Service Management module provides a complete solution for managing cleaning service bookings, staff scheduling, and customer communication directly within Odoo. Customers can book cleaning services from your website by selecting their preferred service, shift, date, and time slot, with their details automatically filled in if they are already logged in. The booking calendar only shows valid dates based on your configured shifts and holidays, and customers can also set up recurring cleaning plans on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis without having to book every time.
Once a booking is received, your team can review it, assign the right manager, and track its progress through clear status stages from New Request to Approved or Rejected. The assigned manager automatically receives a detailed email notification the moment they are assigned, eliminating any need for manual follow-up. A built-in availability checker allows managers to verify which employees and cleaning teams are free for a specific date and shift before making any assignment, preventing scheduling conflicts. Role-based access control ensures that managers only see their own assigned bookings while administrators have full visibility over everything, keeping the entire workflow organized and secure.

After installing the module, the Cleaning Service app appears directly on your Odoo home screen, giving you quick and easy access to all booking and configuration options from one place.
Managing Cleaning Service Types
From the Configuration menu, you can manage all the cleaning service types which your business offers such as Gym, Home, Hospital, Hotel, Office, and more. Each service type has its own pricing type, fixed price or rate per square foot, and a short description to make it easy to identify.
Defining Working Shifts & Slots
The Shifts & Slots section lets you define your working shifts such as Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night, along with their start time, end time, and total duration in hours, so customers can only book during your actual working hours, We provide built-in shifts that can be customized according to your requirements..
Automatic Time Slot Generation
Inside each shift you can set the start and end time, choose how long each slot should be, set the gap between slots, and then simply click Generate Slots to automatically create all available time slots for that shift without any manual work.
Workforce Management & Cleaning Teams
The Cleaning Teams section shows all your teams along with the shift they are assigned to, making it easy to see which team is working during which part of the day and manage your workforce at a glance.
Team Configurations & Booked Requests
Each cleaning team has a name, an assigned shift, and a list of team members that work with the team. You can also see all the booking requests that have been assigned to this team directly from the Booked Requests tab, keeping everything organized in one place.
Holidays & Week Off Planner
The Holidays & Week Off section allows you to define your days off, whether it is a regular weekly off day or a special exception holiday like Diwali, so those dates are automatically blocked on the booking calendar and customers cannot select that date.
Creating Calendar Exceptions & Holidays
When creating a holiday, you give it a name, choose whether it is a Weekly Off or an Exception Holiday, select the specific day, and mark it as active. This gives you full control over which days are blocked for bookings without any confusion.
Employee Profiles & Cleaning Shift Setup
A dedicated Cleaning Shift tab is added to each employee profile where you can assign one or more working shifts to that employee, making it easy to track which shifts each person is available for when checking availability. Also added a smart button to view all their assigned tasks.
Customers can visit the Cleaning page on your website and book a cleaning service by filling in their personal details, selecting their preferred service, number of floors, rooms, area, cleaning shift, time slot, and choosing a date from the built-in calendar that only displays valid and available dates based on configured shifts and holidays. This ensures customers can never select blocked or unavailable dates. Once all details are completed, they can simply click Submit Request to place their booking.
Note: If the customer is already logged in to the website, personal details such as name, address, mobile number, email, city, ZIP code, state, and country are automatically filled in, allowing them to complete the booking faster by only selecting the service, shift, time slot, and date.
When a customer enables the Recurring Service option, additional fields become available where they can configure how frequently the service should repeat using the Repeat Every field, choose the recurrence type as Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, and select an end date from the calendar. The calendar only displays valid available dates, ensuring recurring bookings remain accurate and conflict-free.
Note: The system automatically validates the selected end date according to the chosen repeat interval, preventing customers from selecting an invalid schedule.
After clicking Submit Request and successfully placing the booking, customers are redirected to a clean Thank You page confirming that their cleaning service request has been received and that the team will contact them shortly.
The dashboard provides a live overview of your entire cleaning business, displaying total bookings, new requests, approvals, rejections, and total revenue in one place. Interactive charts help track booking trends, identify top-performing services by revenue, and monitor the best-performing cleaning teams, allowing you to make informed decisions without searching through individual records.
Navigate to Settings → Users & Companies and open any user profile. Under the Access Rights tab, you can manage all assigned user roles. In the Other section, the Cleaning Service field allows you to assign either a Manager or Administrator role. Managers can only access and manage bookings assigned to them, while Administrators have full access to all bookings, ensuring secure and role-based workflow management.
The Booking Requests screen provides a complete overview of all incoming bookings, including the booking reference number, customer name, mobile number, area, preferred date, pricing type, estimated amount, and current status. Color-coded labels such as New Request, Under Review, Approved, and Rejected make it easy to track booking progress at a glance.
When a customer submits a booking from the website, it is automatically created in Odoo as a New Request with a unique booking reference number. All customer information entered on the website, including service type, number of floors, rooms, area, preferred date, shift, and time slot, is captured automatically. Administrators can directly assign a manager from the Assigned Manager field for further review and processing.
Administrators can review complete pricing details and recurring service configurations, including the repeat interval and end date, all from one screen before proceeding with the booking approval process.
The module also supports a Fixed Price option, allowing administrators to customize pricing according to customer requirements and negotiate rates based on specific cleaning needs.
Once the booking is moved to Under Review, the assigned manager automatically receives an email notification containing the booking reference number. Managers can check employee or team availability using the Cleaner Availability button and assign the request accordingly. All activities and updates are automatically recorded in the chatter for complete visibility.
The Cleaner Availability button opens the availability checker with the booking date, shift, and time slot pre-filled automatically. It instantly shows available employees and teams. The Available Teams tab displays each team, their assigned shift, and team members for easy workforce planning.
The Available Employees tab displays all employees available for the selected date, shift, and time slot, along with their job position and assigned shifts, helping managers choose the right staff member without confusion.
After the booking is reviewed and approved, the status changes automatically to Approved, and the approval date is recorded instantly. Based on the selected recurring configuration, cleaning tasks are automatically generated, and an approval email is sent to the customer confirming their booking.
For recurring bookings, the system automatically creates individual tasks for every scheduled cleaning session. Each task includes the due date and assigned team members, helping cleaning staff track and manage work efficiently without manual scheduling.
Each cleaning task contains all required booking details for efficient execution. Employees can click the Start button to begin tracking work time and click Stop once the task is completed. The tracked time is automatically recorded in the timesheet following the standard Odoo workflow for accurate time tracking.
A Create Invoice button is available at the top of the booking form, allowing administrators to generate customer invoices instantly based on the estimated service amount without leaving the booking screen.
Clicking Create Invoice automatically generates a customer invoice with customer information and service pricing already filled in. Administrators only need to review and confirm the invoice. The remaining invoicing process follows the standard Odoo invoicing workflow.
Can customers book without logging in?
