Odoo MCP Server
Expose selected Odoo capabilities through an MCP server secured by Azure AD authentication.
Developed by 2BIT Digital GmbH — your Swiss Odoo partner for payroll, accounting, eCommerce, manufacturing and custom business solutions.
Overview
Technical teams can connect MCP-compatible clients to Odoo through Streamable HTTP endpoints protected by Microsoft Entra ID.
The module provides access rules, security groups, OAuth discovery endpoints, token validation, and controlled tool execution for Odoo data access.
Business Impact
Why You Need This Module
AI assistants and automation clients need a secure and auditable way to interact with business data in Odoo.
This module lets administrators define which MCP tools are available and protects access with Azure AD authentication.
Which Problems It Solves
- No controlled MCP entry point for Odoo data and actions
- Difficult separation of allowed tools for external AI clients
- Need to align MCP access with Microsoft identity management
Key Benefits For Technical Teams
- MCP Streamable HTTP endpoint for Odoo
- Azure AD protected access
- Configurable MCP access rules
How It Works
- Configure an enabled Azure AD OAuth provider in Odoo.
- Review or create MCP access rules for the tools and models that should be exposed.
- MCP clients use the discovery, registration, authorization, token, and /mcp endpoints.
- The controller validates bearer tokens and executes only allowed tools.
